If you are an owner (or a property manager with authorisation) of an Eligible Home, you can register your interest to receive an LDU by completing the registration form here. You can also contact your builder if you have any further questions about the process.
The steps to receiving an LDU are as follows:
- Register: Please register your interest (link to form) and confirm the terms & conditions.
- Assessment: Your eligibility will be assessed and confirmed.
- Assign: An installer will be assigned to our job. They will contact you and arrange a time with you for the unit to be installed.
- Prepare: Please read the documents you will receive before the installation and follow the instructions to pair your LDU.
- Install: LDU is installed by a plumber.
- Monitor and learn: Please familiarise yourself with your app and help the LDU learn during the learning phase.
Please visit Phyn's dedicated website to understand more about the unit and access documents, including pairing instructions, the first 30-day guide, an installation guide, and a homeowner guide.
What happens if a Plumbing Failure occurs after LDU?
- Please call your builder if the LDU has shut off the Water or there are any visible signs of water
- If you are receiving notifications or unsure what to do, please call Phyn Customer Care Support
- If the LDU is not functioning effectively and is failing, please call Phyn Customer Care Support
Please review the Homeowner Guide to understand what you should do when a potential plumbing failure occurs.
You will appreciate that your LDU could identify all types of plumbing issues in your home. Therefore, if during a leak identification by a plumber, it is determined that the leak is not an Eligible Plumbing Failure, you will need to organise and fund the remediation work for that leak.
