1. Eligible Homes: Sufficient evidence may be required to confirm:
- your home is located in Western Australia;
- Typlex pipe is installed in your home;
- an LDU has not already been installed at your home; and
- you are the legal owner of the home.
You do not need to have experienced a Plumbing Failure to be eligible to receive an LDU.
2. Programme Inclusions: Eligible Homes will receive:
- 1 Phyn LDU;
- 7 year warranty for the device, redeemable in accordance with the the manufacturer’s warranty process;
- 7 year paid access to the manufacturer’s cloud services;
- Installation of the Phyn LDU unit onto the Eligible Home by a qualified plumber; and
- Installation of a power point near the unit by a qualified electrician (if required).
Please note that the Phyn LDUs require Wi-Fi connectivity and pairing with a smart device (e.g., phone, or tablet) to finish the setup. If this step is not completed, the unit will not work.
The LDU is covered by the manufacturer's terms and conditions and warranty, which can be reviewed on the Phyn website. Any issue with the unit post installation should be raised with the manufacturer.
3. Programme Requirements: The Phyn LDUs are smart devices that require continuous Wi-Fi internet and smartphone devices (phone or tablet).
You will be responsible for:
- the cost of installing and maintaining a suitable Wi-Fi internet connection (including the purchase or
- installation of a Wi-Fi booster if required); or
- provision of a smart device (phone or tablet) to download the required app.
After the cloud service period of 7 years, the Phyn LDU will continue to function at a reduced, minimal cloud processing overhead required capacity (the Essential tier) but will still detect Plumbing Failures. It will be open to you to either:
- continue using the LDU until the end of its life free of charge (or the version of the cloud services/platform is no longer supported);
- subscribe to an upgraded plan directly with Phyn (advanced cloud services/platform); or
- procure a replacement unit at your own cost and pay any associated subscription fees (if applicable).
4. Title of LDU: Upon installation, the legal title of the Phyn LDU will be transferred to you as the homeowner.
5. Cost: There is no cost for the LDU or installation.
6. Facilitation of installation: To participate in the LDU programme, you must:
- ensure a responsible adult is available at the time of installation and
- Allow the appointed plumber (and electrician where required) to visit your home to install the LDU.
Separate visits may be required for the different trades over multiple days. The location of the LDU is important to its working as effectively as possible. As each home has a different configuration, including the layout of pipework and access to an electrical supply, we cannot guarantee the location of the LDU. Considering these factors, we will work with you to agree on the most suitable location for the LDU, and we apologise in advance if your preferred location is not possible for any reason.
7. Use of Your Data (Including Personal Information)
You agree Iplex can use your data, including your personal information in accordance with the privacy policy and these terms. This includes providing your data to regulators, builders, installers and/or the manufacturer of the LDU so that the LDU can be effectively and efficiently installed, used, and the performance of the LDU and the Perth LDU Installation Programme can be measured.
